End of Summer Jamz

I'm back to work on Monday so I'm enjoying the last few days of summer...

This week instead of one long track I'm posting two shorter ones.

The first features a broken EHX micro synth and the second is all about the Haunt Box.

I'm also working on a new release that has a couple of tracks from the blog along with a live track from the same time period. It'll be $5 US ppd - ed. of 50.. email to rsv a copy.

Mindless... Useless

Another week, another jam. I was preparing for a show with Kkrakk, Bomber, and RDC last weekend and kept getting more and more into Harvestman mode.
Here's another sick Casio creep called Mindless.. Useless (the first line bellowed on the great Breath Grenades' 1996 opus 'Space Rawk Replicas for a Thuggin' Tomorrow').

This week's jam features more SK-1. The Casio is run through 2 separate f/x chains causing all kinds of mayhem. This track also is the debut of a new project from White Dog called.. The Harvestman. I'm sure there will be some of those jamz posted here in the not too distant future.

Love Serve Remember

Still working on taming my Casio SK-1. I decided to mix 'n' match that with a early 70s recording of Ram Dass' radio show where he took listeners calls. It's all pretty groovy.

I really wanted to use the Ram Dass audio before I let the Love Serve Remember LP box go. This go round is a failed experiment as I think the spoken stuff is too loud and goes on a little too long. I am going to keep the recording for sample purposes and may break it out for a live set using temple bells and a sruti box. It's still fun to listen to all the comsic talk that goes on during the 20+ minutes of this track though.
